Nigerian Shippers’ Council Flags-off Sensitisation of Freight Forwarders On CTN Thursday

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) is set to hold a sensitization seminar for stakeholders in the freight forwarding sector over the introduction of the International Cargo Tracking Note (ICTN)
A circular about the meeting which was cited by Shipping Position Daily indicated that the meeting is scheduled to take place on 3rd of September 2015 (Thursday) inside the training room of the Council headquarters in Apapa, Lagos
The letter with reference number: REF NSC/CSS/CM/006/VOL.1/362 stated tersely that‎, "We write to invite you to the above meeting scheduled to hold as follows: September 3rd, 2015 at NSC training room second floor by11am‎".The letter was signed by the Director of Commercial Shipping Services of the Shippers Council, Mrs Dabney Shalholma‎.
Executive Secretary of the Shippers Council, Barrister Hassan Bello had recently embarked on a campaign and courtesy visit to relevant stakeholders, informing them of the planned re-introduction of the controversial Car‎go Tracking Note by the Council.
Bello has however assured that the CTN as being re-introduced by the Council will be at no cost to the Shippers.
The Executive Secretary recently visited the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) all in an attempt to sell the the new CTN.
