The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has faulted the continued representation of Nigeria at the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) by the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN)
The founder of NAGAFF; Dr. Boniface Aniebonam who spoke about the position of the association was reacting to the recent approval granted by the world body of freight forwarders to CRFFN to award Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management .
Dr Aniebonam said that the CRFFN is not expected to represent Nigeria at the FIATA
He made this known while fielding questions from the media on Tuesday at the MMS Women of Fortune Hall of Fame which held in Lagos, even as he argued that the approval is not most important thing for Nigerian freight forwarders.

Aniebonam said that Nigeria ought to be represented by an organisation which is non-governmental and not by a parastatal of government, which according to him, the CRFFN is.
"The issue of professional courses by CRFFN is quite okay, but I think we still need to follow due process so that Nigeria will be given the due recognition and follow other nations in matter of accreditations".
"As far as I am concerned the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria is not expected to represent Nigeria at FIATA and for us, it does not make sense and that shows that we are not on course", he posited.
"Nigeria should be represented by an organisation which is non-governmental, like we may decide to form a federation freight forwarding association".
"The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria is a regulatory body and we have said this before and I don't know what they told FIATA before they are registered, but then we will get there when the time comes" ,Aniebonam said.
