CRRFN Fees Collection: Freight Forwarding Association Condemn Letter From Presidency, Direct Members To Pay

The raging face-off between freight forwarding associations over the controversial practitioners operations fees deepened yesterday with a coalition of those favourably disposed to the fees affirming their position.
Speaking under the aegis of  Concerned Accredited Freight Forwarding Association (CAFFA), they condemned the document from the office of Secretary General of the Federation (SGF) addressed to factional Deputy President of National Council of Managing Director of Licensed Customs Agents,  Uchu Block saying that the document is fake.

Speaking with the media yesterday on the outcome of the meeting in Lagos, Director of Publicity of CAFFA, Dr. Frank Ukor condemned last week's harassment on officials of CRFFN over POF collection at Seme border post.
He called on SAHCOL, all Inland Containers Depots, terminal operators and NAHCO to comply fully with the directives and  transfer all funds collected to CRFFN.
Ukor said that it is obviously that leaders of the various associations need to protect their members from such aggression from  ANLCA.
He said that "all members should be securtiy concious and they should shun all forms of retaliation pending the outcome of federal government position on the matter"
"We all should be law abiding by going about our lawful duties at the ports and land borders"
"We want to let the federal government know, through CRFFN that we are solidly behind any decision taken by CRFFN as it concerns POF" as approved by the honourable minister of transport"
"We condemned in its  entirety the attack on the CRFFN team at Seme on Tuesday last week by people suspected to be members of ANLCA in a reaction to the directive of ANLCA NEC as contained in a communique issued on Tuesday 14th of May 2015"
"We urge the general public to discontenance the forge letter that might emanated from the presidency on the office of  secretary general of the federation by Uchu Block"
He said the four associations  unanimously agreed that CRFFN should start the collection immediately as approved and gazetted by the federal government for capacity building.
"We hereby seek for police protection around officials doing the collection and hereby state categorically that further illegal collection by ANLCA in all entry points must stop forthwith", Ukor stated. http://shippingposition.com.ng/article/crrfn-fees-collection-freight-forwarding-association-condemn-letter-presidency-direct-member
